On June 17, 2017 Imagine Circus stilt walking fairies fluttered around the 13th Annual Greensboro Summer Solstice, parading with characters from Paperhand Puppet Intervention and costumed festival patrons. Later in the evening, Imagine Circus presented a fire show sponsored by Corrupted Arts and MC’d by Madelyn Greco of LivingBrush. The fire show included artful prop manipulation, mesmerizing fire dancing, and fire acrobatics! The mission of Greensboro Summer Solstice is to create “an experience for festival-goers that blends local artisans, performers and budding entrepreneurs with a little bit of magic, opening up imaginations to the possibilities in each of us.” We were grateful to be a part!
On tour with the eccentric beer and bike enthusiasts from New Belgium Brewery, Imagine Circus traveled city to city for a whirlwind, whimsical experience of unusual antics, outlandish shenanigans, and all around circus fun! May 31st our performers had a blast at Terminal West in Atlanta, Georgia– hooping, stilt walking, and juggling. June 3rd our stilt walking, juggling crew partied with festival goers in Orlando, Florida at Orlando Amphitheater. June 6th, one all star crew headed south to St. Petersburg, Florida for a performance at Jannus Live while another traveled north to Baltimore for an evening of music and magic at the Baltimore Soundstage. June 10th brought the traveling party to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the Plaza at the Talen Energy Stadium. June 11th kept the vibe going in New Orleans on Canal Street at the famous Joy Theatre. June 17th Imagine Circus added to the party at The Lawn on D in Boston, Massachusetts. Check out the New Belgium Brewery website for more dates and locations of Tour De Fat!
Aerial performers, stilt walkers, and fire dancers added the music festival vibe at the second Soundside Live Concert in Nags Head, NC on June 1st, 2017. With the backdrop of the Roanoke Sound, our performers had a blast performing aerials and fire to an enthusiastic crowd of beach goers. This event featured fabulous local and national music, delicious, local food, Mother Earth beer, and artisan vendors.
Teaming up with OBX Entertainment and Bearded Face Productions, the Outer Banks Visitor’s Bureau kicked off the Soundside Live Concert Series on May 25, 2017. The first of three Thursday evening concerts, this event featured national recording artists Red Wanting Blue, The Commonheart, and Tropidelic, as well as performances by Imagine Circus! Although the evening had moments of epic wind, stormy clouds, and a brief downpour, a double rainbow emerged and the show went on! Joining in the concert fun, Imagine Circus performers danced on stilts and performed acrobatics and fire dancing. We are looking forward to two more weeks of Thursday night fun!

Hosted by Cary Citizen in cahoots with the Town of Cary, Fest in the West brought a yippy ki-yay good time to West Cary on May 20, 2017 at USA Baseball’s Thomas Brook’s Park. Imagine Circus was glad to be part of the cowboy/cowgirl action with our western stilt walker saying “Howdy” to all the attendees. This event featured live music, local beer, food trucks, artisan crafts, and fun competitions including Hillbilly Horseshoes and a pie eating contest announced by Cary’s own, Mayor Harold Weinbrecht.
