Aerialists & Stilt Walkers at Holiday Open House

Deck the Sidewalks at Cameron Village Holiday Open House

On Thursday, November 16th, Imagine Circus decked the sidewalks at the annual Cameron Village Holiday Open House, a yearly community event featuring local school bands, choir groups, shopping discounts, and a visit from Santa. Our aerialists twirled like candy canes of the sky while our stilt walkers twinkled with LED angel wings. Our Peppermint Princess spread holiday magic with her red and white stripes and Rudolf followed her nose up and down the streets, greeting children and adults. Shoppers delighted in the entertainment and warmed up with a treat of hot cocoa!

Mum Fest in New Bern, NC

Amidst 100,000 festival goers, Imagine Circus stilt walked up and down the streets of historic downtown New Bern and presented multiple aerial and acrobatic shows throughout the weekend of October 14th and 15th at Mum Fest 2017. A highly revered festival, Mum Fest has received numerous awards including Best NC Main Street Downtown Event, Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 October events, and the Sun Journal Reader’s Choice winner as Best Festival. A fun-filled festival for all ages, you can view some images of our show from the local paper or our photos below!

Fire, Circus, & Fancy Drinks at Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar

An evening of majestic cirque and fine cuisine, Imagine Circus hosted their upscale video shoot on September 22, 2017 at Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar in downtown Raleigh. The perfect setting for elegant footage, our performances included stilt walking, solo and partner aerials, aerial bartending, fire dancing, acrobatics, belly dancing and body painting. With Mulino’s sparkling outdoor pool, we couldn’t help but station our custom stage (built by Circus Gear) in the water creating reflective LED and fire images that danced across the liquid surface. Later, our fire dancers cooled off by entering the water for a hot and refreshing performance! Mulino’s exudes an exquisite ambiance of class and style, making it a perfect place for dinner or a fancy after hours cocktail. Big thank you to Mulino’s for sharing your amazing space!

Debut of “Elemental Circus” Show at SPARKcon 2017

Embarking on a journey through Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, Imagine Circus debuted their newest show, Elemental Circus at SPARKcon 2017. With all original narration and the creative choreography of over a dozen performers, this captivating performance dances with the spirit of ebb and flow, rise and fall, light and dark. Showcased skills included aerial rope, acrobatics, partner silks, rolling globe, partner lyra, stilt walking, spinning skirt, levitation wand, fire dancing, and fire breathing. It was a true pleasure to present our newest work to the community in such an open and inviting space.

Returning To Cary’s Lazy Daze Celebration!

Once again, Imagine Circus performers returned to Cary, NC for the end of summer Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival, this time putting on multiple shows and roving performances. Highlights included a morning “Acro Alphabet” show and an afternoon “Cirque Spectacular” show including aerials, acrobatics, and juggling. Festival goers enjoyed interacting with our “Lazy Jerry” stilt walker, our larger-than-life sparkling stilt walkers, and our giant bubble artists. Lazy Daze creates a great space for the community to come together, enjoy live music, delicious food, and local art. We look forward to the next event!

Summer Extravaganza at Myers Park Country Club

Closing out the summer in true Imagine Circus style, our performers entertained in Charlotte, NC at Myers Park Country Club for their annual Summer Extravaganza bash. Featuring an all-star crew, Imagine Circus showcased elaborately costumed stilt walkers, acrobats, hoopers, jugglers, dual aerialists, and bubble sphere dancers. A beautiful evening began with poolside entertainment, cocktails and dinner, then continued inside with more Imagine Circus performances on the dance floor, paired with an amazing performance by Jessie’s Girls. This soiree sealed the summer days in style!

Freedom at 2017 Floyd Fest

Nestled in the lush mountains, under the blue, Virginia skies, our performers relished in the sunshine and butterflies of the 2017 “Freedom” Floyd Fest. During the day, Imagine Circus presented workshops at the Healing Arts stage, including Belly Dance basics and Intro to Aerial Yoga. In the evenings, we teamed up with Party Liberation Front (PLF) of Richmond, Virginia, presenting alluring performances including fire partner acrobatics, aerial silks, and partner aerial silks. Floyd Fest is a family friendly music festival touted by Flight Network as “a funky, five-day celebration of everything that makes life worthwhile,” listed as #11 on their list of top 36 Global Festivals of 2017.

Pittsboro Summer Fest: “Small Town…Big Fun!”

On July 2nd, Imagine Circus paraded through the Town of Pittsboro, NC at their yearly Summer Fest, a family friendly street festival celebrating Independence Day. Our stilt walkers, adorned in red, white, and blue, waved flags as they marched through the crowds during the bicycle parade. Attendees enjoyed live music, along with some friendly competition including a corn hole tournament, a watermelon seed spitting challenge, and a pie throwing contest. Later in the day, guests were amazed by our aerial performers as they soared above suspended from our mobile aerial rig. The event included multiple bands, food trucks, and local artisan vendors.
