Filming At North Hills for Promo Video
Through a collaboration with Todd Spiering from Circus Gear, we debuted two custom designed aerial apparatuses: aerial globes and an aerial platform. An ingenious design by Spiering, the aerial globes are interlocking aerial hoops that converge to create a sphere. Stacked vertically, these two spheres are capable of rotating independently in opposite directions, creating a mesmerizing spin as aerial dancers gracefully move through the air. The aerial platform is similar to a traditional aerial rig but includes an added platform at the top to creates an aerial stage, perfect for acrobatics, juggling, fire performance and dancing. While performers entertain on the top “stage” as many as four aerial performers can be suspended below making this ideal for group aerial acts. This impressive piece of equipment adds to Imagine Circus’s “wow” factor, taking cirque performances to new heights— literally!
In addition to innovative apparatuses, performers shared their creativity with the crowd at North Hills. Among the unique acts was a “Stackro” routine by Adam and Liz Bliss, a partner acrobatic dance executed on stilts, a “Hoobe” routine developed by Mindy, a dance between performer and a hollow cube formed by fastening hula hoops together in a specific way, an aerial hammock trio routine performed by Kaci, Liz Bliss, and Katie, and a group silt dance choreographed with parasols, performed by Lacy Blaze, Irene, Adrenaline, Ben, and Mindy.
We look forward to teaming up with North Hills again for their Midtown Music Fest on April 29th! We hope to see you there.
