Imagine Circus Unveils “Big Top Circus” Stage Show
Imagine Circus performers spent two weekends at Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, NC debuting our newest stage show, “BIG TOP CIRCUS.” This classic circus-style show includes stilt walking, aerials, acrobatics, and juggling acts.
This four person, 47-minute show ran four times each night for two consecutive weekends, adding up to sixteen shows! Performers charismatically captivated audience members as they moved with grace and ease, spinning from hoops, swinging from fabric, and manipulating juggling props.
BIG TOP CIRCUS begins with two beautiful stilt walkers, setting the scene and getting the audience excited. Moving across the stage in synchronicity, this larger-than-life duo dance with grace and ease. A third stilt walker joins the fun, showing off his stilt breakdance moves and impressive one-man balancing tricks.
Next up is a breathtaking aerial silks act! Climbing as high as thirty-five feet in the air, our aerial dancer captivates everyone in the audience with a jaw-dropping display of strength, grace, and bravery! All eyes are on her as she climbs, twirls, flips upside down, quickly drops, and finally lands (safely) back to the ground.
Our one-of-a-kind acrobat duo make multiple appearances throughout the show, including two unique “acro” acts that are equally impressive. The first is an “L-Basing Acro” act where one performer lies on their back with legs extended in an L-shape, balancing and moving the other performer on their hands and feet. The second is a “Standing Acro” act where both performers work together, moving through standing poses that show off their combined strength, balance, and flexibility. Both acts leave the audience baffled and wanting more!
Combing aerial dance and partner acrobatics, this act showcases two dancers performing acrobatic poses on a single aerial hoop (also known as a lyra). Captivating audiences as they spin, balance, bend, and smile in perfect synchronicity, our aerial hoop duo is always a crowd favorite!
Our jack-of-all-trades juggler performs multiple acts throughout the show, including ball juggling, club juggling, contact juggling, and diabolo. Each act is paired with complimentary dancers, filling the stage and creating a sense of overwhelming wonder reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil.
In addition to the BIG TOP CIRCUS show, Imagine Circus offered roving performers, including a stilt walker to greet guests as they arrived and a roving knife juggler to wow patrons up close and personal. Pairing roving performers with a stage show warms up the crowd and gives them a preview of the fun to come! Roving performers are also a great photo opp for social media selfies!
