Unique Living Statue Reflects Smiles at Peakfest in Apex, NC

On May 5th, 2018, the Imagine Circus Mirror Man took up shop in downtown Apex, NC baffling Peakfest attendees and posing for festival photos. Mesmerized by his elaborate costume, patrons pulled out their phones to captured these exciting moments. Shining in the sun’s rays, reflecting wide smiles, the Mirror Man passed out high fives to children and adults alike.

Wearing a suit that resembles a giant disco ball, our Mirror Man baffled Apex Festival-goers as he transformed from a still statue to an interactive art piece. Posing for hundreds of selfies, the mirror he finally got a chance to rove throughout the festival showing off some of his hypnotizing dance moves. This fantastic costume truly transforms any event into a memorable experience.

Three-Ring Circus Show at Campbell University

Imagine Circus entertained Campbell University’s staff and their families for a special “in the round” Employee Appreciation show at Gore Arena in John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center. Transforming the gymnasium into a three ringed circus, performances included aerial silks, lyra, stilt walking, acrobatics, partner juggling, and hula hoop manipulation.

Roving Performers Entertain Guests

In addition to the show, Imagine Circus offered roving performers, including stilt walkers to greet guests as they arrived and roving jugglers to wow patrons up close and personal. Pairing roving performers with a stage show warms up the crowd and gives them a preview of the fun to come! Roving performers are also a great photo opp for social media selfies!

On February 27, 2018, Imagine Circus aerial dancers and stilt walkers traveled to Jack’s Waterfront Bar in Morehead City, NC for an evening of fun and fundraising. “Wigging Out for Charity” is a unique fundraiser raising funds for children with hair loss. This fashion-forward event features wigs designed and styled by local salons, then displayed, modeled, and sold during a live auction.

Unique Entertainment for Charity Fundraiser

Our performers cheered for participants as they received haircuts and donated to ‘Children with Hair Loss,’ revealing their new ‘do’s’ later in the evening. Bringing cheer and circus magic to the altruistic gathering, Imagine Circus added to the Mardi Gras themed celebration. In addition to circus performances, guests enjoyed fancy cocktails, tasty hors d’oeuvres, exciting raffles, and live music.

On February 10th, 2018 Imagine Circus collaborated with the Visual Art Exchange (VAE) for their yearly fundraiser, “For the Love of Art” Gala. Taking cirque entertainment to the next level, Imagine Circus filled the downtown Raleigh Marriott with unique performers around each corner.

Unique Entertainment for Gala & Upscale Events

At this ticketed event, our living statue performer poured champagne for guests upon arrival. Our aerial hoop was showcased near the check-in table, as aerialists entertained guests while they waited in line. Our stilt walkers roved the event in eye catching pink showgirl outfits with matching silver wings, flashing the hot pink VAE logo. Our live body painter and model added live art flair to an already art-centric event. With a pink theme, our costume designers made sure to accentuated this detail– from pink eyelashes to sparkling pink dresses, to adorning each cap with pink feathers.

Guests enjoyed a one-of-a-kind new year’s eve toast with an interactive aerial performance that combined service, style, and entertainment. Imagine Circus offered dueling aerial bartenders suspended from two extravagant crystal chandeliers, surprising guests as they entered the party by serving champagne from above.

Artistic Collaborations

“Angels & Demons” Body Paint Photoshoot

On November 5th a collective of amateur and professional photographers commissioned Imagine Circus body painters to create a compilation of six body painted cirque performers for an “Angels versus Demons” photoshoot. Our performers not only posed for photos, but performed a variety of fire dancing, acrobatics, and flow arts. Highlighting the imaginative vision of four body painters, this collaborative project resulted in a stunning display of art, beauty and the melding of creative minds.

It was great to be back in Black Mountain, NC for the Fall edition of the Lake Eden Arts Festival on October 20th, 21st, and 22nd! Leaf is the #1 festival for Kids, Music, and Camping in Western North Carolina and we’re so glad to be a part of the fun!

Family-Friendly Circus Show

On Saturday, we presented a modified version of our show, Cirque Spectacular, at the Sunshine Village Stage. This 30-minute, family-friendly circus show, featuring our elite performers Ben, Katie, and Kaci.

Stilt Walking Parade Performers & Workshops

In addition to roving performances, our all-star crew of giant stilt walkers led the LEAF parade. We love to get any party started and enjoyed marching through LEAF and encouraging people to participate! Our performers also hosted a free-flowing hoop jam and facilitated a family acrobatic yoga workshop.

Fire, Circus, & Fancy Drinks at Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar

An evening of majestic cirque and fine cuisine, Imagine Circus hosted their upscale video shoot on September 22, 2017 at Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar in downtown Raleigh. The perfect setting for elegant footage, our performances included stilt walking, solo and partner aerials, aerial bartending, fire dancing, acrobatics, belly dancing and body painting. With Mulino’s sparkling outdoor pool, we couldn’t help but station our custom stage (built by Circus Gear) in the water creating reflective LED and fire images that danced across the liquid surface. Later, our fire dancers cooled off by entering the water for a hot and refreshing performance! Mulino’s exudes an exquisite ambiance of class and style, making it a perfect place for dinner or a fancy after hours cocktail. Big thank you to Mulino’s for sharing your amazing space!

Debut of “Elemental Circus” Show at SPARKcon 2017

Embarking on a journey through Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, Imagine Circus debuted their newest show, Elemental Circus at SPARKcon 2017. With all original narration and the creative choreography of over a dozen performers, this captivating performance dances with the spirit of ebb and flow, rise and fall, light and dark. Showcased skills included aerial rope, acrobatics, partner silks, rolling globe, partner lyra, stilt walking, spinning skirt, levitation wand, fire dancing, and fire breathing. It was a true pleasure to present our newest work to the community in such an open and inviting space.
