TEDxUNC Colorwheel Conference at UNC-Chapel Hill
In front of a sold out crowd at Memorial Hall in Chapel Hill, NC, Imagine Circus performed the opening stage act for the TEDx UNC conference. This year’s topic, “Colorwheel,” challenged audience members to embrace a more nuanced and colorful understanding of humanity while Imagine Circus brought that understanding to life through movement and performance art.
A Colorful Circus Stage Show with Live Music
Seven performers and two musicians showcased a visual and auditory delight. This colorful performance featured stilt walking, parasol dancing, partner acrobatics, silk fan belly dance, and live music. Bright costuming and vibrant props made viewers feel like they were looking into a kaleidoscope of color. Audience members and viewers at home were captivated by this vivid display of movement and chromatic hues.

About: TEDxUNC Annual Conference
The annual TEDxUNC conference showcases ideas worth spreading, with this year’s theme of “Colorwheel” confronting a binary worldview. Nine guest speakers encouraged the audience to re-examine how they see the world through three sub-themes: challenging the binary, introducing color, and exploring the color wheel. The five-hour conference explored diverse ideas, people and disciplines — from visual arts to biotechnology — that add color to our world.
