NCMA Family Renaissance Festival

We loved spending our Sunday afternoon at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, NC for the Family Renaissance Festival on June 4th, 2017. In the beautiful sunshine Imagine Circus featured stilt walking and juggling across the serene surroundings of the museum park. We enjoyed performing alongside friends from One Tribe as they shared the rhythm of the drums and the power of music. The event offered various activities and attractions including mask making, live action renaissance combat demos, classic renaissance games, short plays, and tasty food trucks. This event happens every year and is great for the whole family!

Global Carnival at Jeffrey’s Grove Magnet Elementary

Playfully celebrating spring, Imagine Circus joined Jeffrey’s Grove Magnet Elementary School on Friday, April 28th for their annual Global Carnival, a school-wide event for parents and students complete with cultural presentations, food trucks, fair games, bounce houses, and some circus flair! Prior to the event, a stilt walker roved throughout the school grounds, surprising students as she visited classrooms during afternoon dismissal. Once the event began, Imagine Circus’s winged fairy face painter and spring flower glitter hair artist adorned children with decorative swirls and hair sparkles! Later in the evening, our performers presented a 50 minute Aerial and Acrobatic Show, debuting our brand new Circus Gear aerial rig! Following the show, performers hosted an interactive hoop jam and posed for photos with students and adults. Fun was had by all!

Marbles Kids Museum “Future Me” Career Fair

Sharing our passion for circus arts, performance, entertaining and teaching children of all ages, Imagine Circus partnered with Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh for the “Future Me” Kids Career Fair on Saturday, February 24th, 2017. The event hosted businesses from the community to share their profession through play! During the event Imagine Circus taught families how to use flower sticks, juggle scarves, and spin plates, while answering questions about running a circus business. The museum hosted 2,582 guests in addition to the 96 partners delivering play! Through hands-on exploration, children learned about new jobs and roles that they may not have known about before; we were glad to be a part of such a great event and look forward to more opportunities for community engagement.
